Jesse Crandell, LMT, PNMT
I have always been told that I had a natural touch for massage. At family reunions, as a child, I was traded around by my relatives to offer them neck and shoulder rubs.
My other main profession and practice is music, in which I have nearly 2 decades of study and a college education. Besides personal expression, I want to use music as a medium to bring people together, and foster a sense of love and community. I strive to serve life in any way I can, helping others and bringing joy, peace and cooperation to this world.
I graduated from the Healthy Lifestyle School of Massage Therapy in Muncie, IN in August 2003. I was nationally certified in September 2003 and licensed in IL in January 2005, when licensing went into effect in that state.
I owned and operated my own massage business in Champaign-Urbana, IL for 2 & 1/2 years. During that time, I attended continuing education for, and was certified in, Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT).
The PNMT modality is focused on assessment and specific treatment of soft-tissue injury, pain, and dysfunction. It is not married to one specific technique, but geared toward verifying that effective improvement results from treatment.
I moved to Austin and was licensed in Texas in late 2005. Since then, I have done a great deal of work in a variety of different professional settings, including spas, chiropractic clinics, hospitals, sporting and entertainment events, community wellness education, and volunteer and charity work.
My modalities include Swedish and relaxation massage, deep-tissue, sports massage, chair massage, myofascial release, trigger-point release, and Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT).
